Wavebreaker Men

Size guide

Find the size that will offer you comfort, support, and freedom of movement both in the water and on the beach.

How to take your measurements

1

Measure your waist

Place the tape horizontally around your natural waistline, without pulling your stomach in or tightening the tape.

2

Measure your hips

Place the tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, parallel to the floor.

3

Measure your chest

For tops and beachwear, measure horizontally around the widest part of your chest.

4

Check the desired fit

Take into account the cut of the style: fitted for swimming or more relaxed for the beach.

Tip: Take your measurements while wearing well-fitting underwear. The tape should rest against your body without being too tight.

Men's swimwear

Wavebreaker uses numbered sizes for many of its models. Use this chart to find the universal size equivalent.

Choosing by swimsuit type

Swim briefs

Choose primarily according to your waist measurement. The waistband should stay firmly in place without constricting the stomach.

Swim trunks

Use your waist and hip measurements. The fabric should follow the body without pulling at the crotch or thighs.

Board shorts

Choose according to your waist measurement. Also check the length and waistband adjustment of the style.

Beach shorts

For a more relaxed fit, choose a size that offers sufficient room at the hips and thighs.

Sport style

The cut may be tighter to remain stable while swimming. However, it should not restrict your movement.

Beachwear

For tops and summer clothes, use primarily your chest measurement and your usual size.

How to recognize a good fit

At the waist

The waistband should remain stable without rolling, sliding down, or constricting the stomach.

At the hips

The swimsuit should follow your curves without creating excessive tension or limiting movement.

At the thighs

The openings should remain comfortable without cutting into the skin or riding up while walking.

In the water

The swimsuit should stay properly in place while swimming, without becoming too loose once wet.

Between two sizes?
Choose based on your preferred fit: the smaller size for a body-hugging cut or the larger size for more room.
