Caring for Your Swimsuit in 5 Easy Steps!
Swimsuits are exposed to all sorts of harsh elements! From sunscreen to UV rays, salt, chlorine, and sweat, these can all degrade your favorite swimsuits and affect their longevity. And once you've found THE swimsuit that makes you feel so good, you want to keep it for a long, long time!
That's why, much like your underwear, your swimsuits require special attention when it comes to their care. While not complicated, these steps help keep them in good condition longer and, most importantly, preserve their color and shape. So, when it's time to care for your swimsuits, out with the washing machine and especially, the dryer!

Here are some simple steps for beautiful, beautiful, beautiful swimsuits!
1. Buy a Quality Swimsuit
Buying a quality swimsuit, both in terms of the fabric used and the construction, is certainly the first step to keeping your favorite swimsuit for years. Indeed, the higher the quality of the fabric, the longer it will last, especially if you take good care of it!
2. Rinsing
Whether you swim in the pool or the sea, chlorine and salt are your swimsuit's worst enemies! They cause premature discoloration and alter the elastic properties of the swimsuit's fibers. That's why we always recommend rinsing your swimsuit thoroughly with cold tap water as soon as possible after wearing it.
3. Washing
|
Fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a small amount of mild detergent. We recommend using Forever New's Splash laundry soap, a gentle plant-based soap that neutralizes the effects of chlorine and salt, and removes body oils, lotions, and sunscreen. Gently swish the swimsuit in the water for a few minutes, making sure the soap penetrates the fabric. Rinse the swimsuit thoroughly with cool water until all the soap is gone. To remove excess water, gently press the swimsuit. Do not twist or wring it, as this could damage the fabric. Lay the swimsuit flat on a clean towel and roll it up, gently pressing to remove more water. |

4. Drying
Once the swimsuit is well washed and rinsed, hang it to dry in a cool, shaded area. Above all, avoid drying it in direct sunlight, as this can fade colors and damage the fabric.
5. Choose Where You Sit Carefully!
Pool edges are often made of concrete or paving stones, surfaces that can damage the fabric fibers of your swimsuit. Choose smooth places to sit, or use your towel to protect your swimsuit. It's also much more comfortable!
Repeat these steps after each use and you'll ensure your swimsuits stay beautiful and vibrant for many years!
